# Reduce capacity

> Keep fewer added computers from the next renewal.

Sets how many added computers the account keeps from its next renewal. The current period is already paid for, so the computers and the bill stay until then and drop together. Sending the current number undoes a pending reduction.

```bash theme={null}
curl -X PATCH https://www.orgo.ai/api/account/capacity \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $ORGO_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{ "added_computers": 20 }'
```

```json theme={null}
{
  "scheduled": { "added_computers": 20, "effective_at": "2026-11-01T00:00:00.000Z" },
  "capacity": { "...": "as Get capacity" }
}
```

Capacity a running computer stands on can't be given back: the answer is `409` with code `in_use` and `min_added_computers`. Delete computers first, then reduce.
