# Turn off SSH

> Turn off Direct SSH and remove the saved keys.

Turns off [Direct SSH](/guides/ssh.md) and removes the saved keys. On a running computer it also deletes `/root/.ssh/authorized_keys` right away, including keys added there by hand.

To turn SSH back on, send your public key again with [Turn on SSH](/api-reference/computers/ssh-enable.md).

Owners and editors of the workspace only.
