Latitude is open-source observability for AI agents. Each run appears as a trace in your Latitude organization.
Orgo sets up Hermes and OpenClaw for you. A custom agent, or any other harness, connects to Latitude directly, as described in Connect any other agent.
Traces are stored in your Latitude organization, not in Orgo. Latitude bills for them, with a free tier and paid plans.
Set up Hermes or OpenClaw
Automatic setup supports OpenClaw and the main Hermes agent on a Linux computer. Only the workspace owner can use it.
- Connect Latitude. Open Integrations, choose Latitude, select Install, then Connect an existing account. Sign in, pick the organization that should hold this workspace’s traces, and select Authorize. Without an account, choose Create a new organization: Latitude creates one under your Orgo email.
- Add the agent. Select Set up Latitude, tick the agent and select Confirm selection. If the agent is listed by its computer instead, select Set up monitoring beside it. Orgo creates a project and API key for the agent in your organization and installs the telemetry plugin. This takes about a minute.
- Send it a message. Setup finishes on the agent’s first run. Select Open chat and send anything. The agent’s row then reads Monitoring.
Turn traces on or off
In Personal, open the agent and go to Settings. Use the Send traces to Latitude switch to turn traces on or off, or select Disable monitoring on the Latitude page. The agent’s project and history stay in Latitude. Turning traces back on repeats setup, so send the agent a message again. What automatic setup sends
Automatic setup sends only each run’s steps, tool calls, model, duration, token counts and status. Prompts, replies, tool arguments, memory, files and screen content are never sent to Latitude, and no setting changes that.Connect any other agent
A custom agent, or a harness Orgo doesn’t set up, sends its traces straight to Latitude. It can run on an Orgo computer or anywhere else, with no setup in Orgo. 1. Create a project and key. In Latitude, create a project and copy its slug from the project sidebar. Then create an API key under Settings → API Keys. 2. Connect the agent. Pick the option that fits:- TypeScript or Python
- Any OpenTelemetry harness
- Claude Code, Hermes, OpenClaw
Install Latitude’s TypeScript SDK or Python SDK and follow its guide for your model provider or framework.
When Orgo can’t set an agent up
The agent is listed under Not available for automatic setup with the reason, and its switch is locked. Common reasons: it is a second Hermes profile on its computer, its computer doesn’t run Linux, or Orgo can’t tell which harness it runs. Connect it yourself, as described in Connect any other agent.Remove a project or disconnect Latitude
- Select Remove Latitude project to delete the project from your organization.
- Select Disconnect to stop monitoring for every agent and remove Orgo’s access to your organization. Your projects and history stay in Latitude.
Good to know
- If Latitude’s sign-in email opens a new tab, return to the Orgo tab and connect again.
- If connecting shows Latitude is temporarily unavailable, try again.
- If setup fails, select Retry setup on the Latitude page, or Retry beside the switch.
- An agent that doesn’t run within a day of setup shows No run yet. Select Retry setup, then message it.
- Reconnect required means Orgo lost access to your organization. Select Reconnect Latitude.
